His will, brokeness

Image
Abishai: " You underestimate your adversary " King David (serenely) : " You underestimate my God " "May God come tonight and take His anointing from me. I seek His will, not His power . I repeat, i desire His will more than i desire a position of leadership." In the words of a fellow brother from church "I'd rather be a toilet cleaner in the will of God than be a preacher out of the will of God" God wanted a broken vessel . When i come to die, Oh, when i come to die, when i come to die, just give me Jesus . *come to die - die to the flesh

Exams are over, yatta! =) A new semester has started and have gotten my results (did alright, Praise God!). Been wanting to upload pictures for the longest time, so will let the pictures do the talking for this entry. =) These pictures were taken at the Singapore Garden Festival a few months ago . =) It was really lovely, and one of the days that i truly enjoyed myself. =) If you like pretty flowers, these should be a treat. =) So much has happened in the space of 1 month... It is pretty incredible. October is just around the corner bringing with it many more new changes and i guess if i could say anything it would be... "Blessed are the flexible for they shall not be bent out of shape" Will continue to put my hand in God's, and strive to hear His voice and follow His leading. =) Thanks for (still) reading! Much love,

ooooooh lookie!

Loook at what i found today! =D my forgotten Johari window! http://kevan.org/johari?view=prisi Found it while clicking around on a friend's blog... It was created some time ago... But the results are still interesting. Feel free to do it, or just laugh at the results. =) Something for you all to do while waiting for me to update. Hehe. =P Exams end today at 5 o'clock! Wahoo!!

Hot Chocolate

Image
Received this in an e-mail first thing in the morning and liked it so much, decided to blog it. =) Will update next week once submissions are over, till then! ' Hot Chocolate' A group of graduates, well established in their careers, were talking at a reunion and decided to go visit their old university professor, now retired. During their visit, the conversation turned to complaints about stress in their work and lives. Offering his guests hot chocolate, the professor went into the kitchen and returned with a large pot of hot chocolate and an assortment of cups - porcelain, glass, crystal, some plain looking, some expensive, some exquisite - telling them to help themselves to the hot chocolate. When they all had a cup of hot chocolate in hand, the professor said: "Notice that all the nice looking, expensive cups were taken, leaving behind the plain and cheap ones. While it is normal for you to want only the best for yourselves, that is the source of your problems...

It seems quite awhile since i talked about life in general... Other than posting up lyrics of songs (that mean something, of course) Time is flying on the wings of the wind... Can't believe it's June already, and that its final of the final semesters... Looking at others blogs (of those i frequent), it seems to echo one thing - that most of us are in a period of transistion... The words " the only thing that is constant is change (and God)" seem to ring particularly true at this juncture. Before, i know it it's gonna be Christmas again... And perhaps i would have started working... Other than that, i really really liked the weather today. It was cool, yet sunny at the same time. =) Seems like today is the closest Singapore will ever get to temperate climate... Hahaha. I still really love and enjoy my life despite schoolwork intensifying in terms of workload, assignments, projects, presentations... etc and in other areas... Some of you know will know what i'm ...

Salt Pillar

Image
(Lot:) The angels said to hurry The Lord will judge our city Theres safety in the mountains Somewhere, that sits on higher ground "Darling, let's run hand in hand, We cannot look behind us..." Then all at once it happened And i knew she had turned around Seemed like i heard her say " Run on, there's nothing left behind you . " I could almost hear her whisper " Be strong, Dont ever slow down ." Its ringing in my ears The silent testimonies Oh, Salt pillar, i'll never turn around Down through the years, since i started walking Some friends have come and gone I don't know why some changed their mind. But in my memories, i see the monuments to failure And now i know if i would listen, i could hear them testify I can hear them saying "Run on, there is nothing left behind you" Those old friends are shouting "Be strong, don't ever slow down" Its ringing in my ears All thier silent testimonies. Oh, salt pillars I'll ne...

You don't know the cost of the oil in my Alabaster Box

Image
The room grew still as she made her way to Jesus She stumbles through the tears that made her blind She felt such pain - Some spoke in anger Heard folks whisper " There's no place here for her kind " Still on she came through the shame that flushed her face Until at last she knelt before His feet And though she spoke no words, everything she said was heard As she poured her love for the Master From her box of alabaster And I've come to pour my praise on Him like oil From Mary's alabaster box Don't be angry if I wash His feet with my tears And I dry them with my hair You weren't there the night He found me You did not feel what I felt When He wrapped his love all around me And you don't know the cost of the oil in my alabaster box I can't forget the way life used to be I was a prisoner to the sins that had me bound I spent all my days And poured my life without measure Into a little treasure box i thought i found Until the day when Jesus came to...

Life

When life throws you a curveball... All you can do is rely on the One who allowed it to happen, trust He has a better plan through it all - depend on Him to catch it. And do your best. Deut 33:26-28 "There is none like God , O Jeshurun, who rides through the heavens to your help, through the skies in his majesty. The eternal God is your dwelling place and underneath are the everlasting arms. And he thrust out the enemy before you and said, Destroy. So Israel lived in safety," There's no God like our God...
