Spiritual Thinking

Heyo.
Tonight, I shall talk about Spiritual Thinking. The key verse is Romans 8:5-8.
5Those who live according to the sinful nature have their minds set on what that nature desires; but those who live in accordance with the Spirit have their minds set on what the Spirit desires. 6The mind of sinful man[a] is death, but the mind controlled by the Spirit is life and peace; 7the sinful mind[b] is hostile to God. It does not submit to God's law, nor can it do so. 8Those controlled by the sinful nature cannot please God.
And did you know it's still possible to die even when you're saved? If you are carnally minded. To me, that's really scary. Anyways, the part that hit me hard in the above scripture is verse 7 (which is in bold). Because the sinful mind does not and it can not submit to God's law and no matter how hard we try, we won't be able to please God if we live according to our flesh. So what does that mean? It means that we have to be spiritually minded.
What does it mean to be spiritually minded? It means that our actions, beliefs and attitudes should be governed by His word and His Spirit. And did you know that your life is shaped by what you think and what you believe? Just a thought. =)
Now let's talk about our flesh. Bleah. Okay. The word flesh or carnal, comes from the greek word "Sarkos" which means a sinful nature. It also means our inherent want to live life seperately and independently from God. Sad isn't it? And you have to decide how you want to live your life. Whether you will live a God-centered life or a self-centered life. Honestly. I'd prefer the former although admittedly it's really not easy. But i'll try. =)
Okie now i shall talk about my life for awhile. If you people want more about spiritual thinking, you'll just have to come back and read my blog again. Hehe. =P Okay, as most of you people know, i have a temporary job at a factory. =) And i got to wear skirts!!! Praise God!! ^-^ I wish that i could spend more time in church though. I like never wanna step out of church especially on days like today when there was a simple awesome presence of God. ^-^ Well, i shall pray more when i work in that factory. =) And i shall remember i'm never alone. Because i have God watching over me. ^-^ Work is pretty tiring although by now i'm pretty used to it. I just hope that God can use me in there to shine His light there and that i may be a good testimony. Amen.

Lazy Weekend

See, now that holidays are here, have more time to write and update... Hehe...Nothing much to say, except that i enjoyed my very lazy weekend. =) After papers on Friday, went down to church and then went walking at Central with Sharon . It was nice just walking around without having to worry about school or anything and just basically chill... Hehe... Also managed to test my baby which has been restringed (with a bit of help from Ian ) and lots of advice from 2 pro guitarists. =) The strings are stretched, so that it doesn't go out of tune after every song, but it still needs some time to be seasoned. =) It sounded so good, so played until 3am and then went to crash... Hehe... Woke up early on Saturday morning and met Lih Min to send dear Ira off to the airport, walked around a bit then went off to meet Da Jie at Ya Kun for breakfast. =) and we both realized it's been like, almost a year since we met up!
